Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my cloud instance uses Nextcloud 26?
The checker looks for the data-requesttoken attribute, nc_* cookies and /core/js/ or /apps/ assets. Nextcloud does not normally expose its version.
Is it dangerous to keep using Nextcloud 26 after support ends?
Without support, new vulnerabilities are not officially fixed, so the risk grows over time. It does not mean the site is compromised today.
How do I update Nextcloud?
Nextcloud can only be upgraded one major version at a time; use the built-in updater or the official upgrade process.
